Ontario tax credits and your estimate
Ontario's estimate includes a provincial basic personal credit, an income-tested tax reduction and the Low-income Individuals and Families Tax (LIFT) credit. The Ontario health premium and surtax can also change the amount payable, so multiplying income by a single bracket rate is not enough.
The detailed estimate asks about rent or property tax for Ontario Trillium Benefit estimates, as well as age, pension income and other eligible credits. Trillium payments are separate from a refund. Benefit estimates use the available benefit-year parameters in the supplied data and may differ from the CRA's final calculation.
Based on the owner-supplied 2026 tax data. CRA provincial and territorial tax guidance. Estimates are not tax advice or a filed return.
